LIV GOLF MEXICO CITY

April 26, 2025

Joaquin Niemann

Mexico City, Mexico

Club de Golf Chapultepec

Torque GC

Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Let's welcome the captain of Torque GC and current third-place position, JoaquĆn Niemann. You fired off a 7-under today, tied for the low round of the day. You're currently sitting in third place. How did you do it?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Well, yeah, it was obviously a great day. The way I played yesterday, obviously I was expecting a better round, and yesterday I played great. I felt like a few putts here and there that could have gone in, a few drivers I could have taken advantage of, and that was the main difference between today and yesterday, so yeah, pretty happy with the round.

Q. The Torques are currently sitting in third place, only five shots off the lead from Ripper GC. Anything can happen tomorrow. How special would a Torque win be in Mexico with Carlos on your team?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: It would be amazing. Here in Mexico, all this crowd, having Carlos, the whole team, I think it would be a dream.

Q. Just tell us a little bit about the fan experience out there today and how the Mexican fans have embraced you this week?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, 18 is a really enjoyable hole. I was kind of waiting for that hole all day, and once I got there, having the fans, having the Torque house in the background, it was amazing.
