THE MODERATOR: Let's welcome Carlos Ortiz back to the media center from Torque GC, our hometown hero from Mexico. Carlos, you fired off a 3-under today. You're currently sitting at T8, six shots off the lead. Tell us a little bit about your round.

CARLOS ORTIZ: Overall pretty good round. I think I played pretty good. Slowed down during the middle but I finished strong. Overall pretty happy.

Q. Is it feasible to catch up tomorrow or are you mostly focused on getting Torque to the top of the leaderboard?

CARLOS ORTIZ: Honestly, I try to play my best every day. It's nice when you're close because you always have a chance. But it's nice that we have at least with the team. Six back, it depends on the leaders. When you're that far back, I can shoot a good round, but if they play good, it's pretty much impossible to catch.

Q. How special would it be for you to stand up next to your best friends on that podium for Torque GC in Mexico tomorrow?

CARLOS ORTIZ: I mean, it would be awesome. I still haven't won with Torque, so it would be really special to win tomorrow with them.
