TV Quick Quotes

Q. When we spoke earlier this week, patience was the buzz word. How tough was it out there to maintain your patience?

SARAH SCHMELZEL: Yeah, this course is just tougher in the afternoon. It plays long, but it's kind of firm, funky bounces around the greens and everything. I was just really proud of the way I kind of stayed in it, had a lot of momentum par putts, like those three-, four-, five-footers just with lag putts and everything, getting up-and-down. Definitely tested my patience, and I'm sure there will be more of that tomorrow.

Q. You managed a steady round of 71 to stay very much in the mix. What's your comfort level being in this position heading into the final round tomorrow?

SARAH SCHMELZEL: I feel really good. I think a lot of the experience I had last year, especially KPMG, that was my first time in the penultimate pairing or final pairing in a major before, and I was definitely nervous then, and I felt very comfortable today, which was really nice, and I think that's just from getting into this position a little more frequently last year.
