Quick Quotes

Q. This is your lowest round this season on LIV Golf. What felt different out there today?

CAM SMITH: Not much, really. Just kind of letting go. Just trying to let go and trying to hit some shots and really commit to some swings. I've probably been a little bit too technically worried about what's going on with my swing, and just kind of let all that go at the start of the week. Really just tried to hit some shots and kind of get out of my own way.

Q. That must have been very difficult to do, especially at a place like this with the altitude. How challenging was that for you to handle?

CAM SMITH: Yeah, it was tough. The full shots aren't too bad. You kind of get a really good gist of how far they're going. The three-quarter ones and the ones that you're trying to knock down into the wind, it's like flipping a coin. But we hit a few good ones today, so hopefully we can keep going.

Q. This is your third event as a dad, including the Masters. Has being a father changed your approach to the game?

CAM SMITH: Definitely a different perspective. I think it's the coolest thing ever, and nothing will ever beat that. I've been fortunate to win some really big tournaments, be out here having a great time, but being a dad is number one. It's so awesome.
