Quick Quotes
Q. Second consecutive 66. Nick, if we can get some comments on your play today.
NICK TAYLOR: Yeah, I thought we played really solid. We stayed patient. It was pretty tricky this morning. There was enough wind to make some of those into-the-wind holes play pretty long. I felt like in the middle of the turn we grabbed some momentum with some birdies and then we both just kind of kept it in play. I felt like we didn't drive it great, but if anything we were just off the fairway, kept it in play, and then Adam made three great putts in the last three holes to close the round out.
Q. Take us through the last three there.
ADAM HADWIN: Yeah, they were huge for me. I thought Nick made a lot of nice putts before that to keep momentum. He made a nice par save on 4 and 6, as well, and I thought it was kind of my turn to do something for the team.
He hit some good shots in there, and I kind of followed it up. I've seen the greens well this week. I was just a little off with my speed early in the round, so it was nice to see a few go in there at the end.
Q. Do you actually enjoy the tougher format, just to be there for your teammate?
NICK TAYLOR: Yeah, I think we've thrived in that. I think if we can shoot a little better score tomorrow and get right in the hunt, we're confident in this format. I actually was hoping they were going to play it down today knowing that it would help us because we didn't have a great round yesterday.
Yeah, I think if we get some birdies going tomorrow and get close to the lead, we'll be confident going into Sunday.
ADAM HADWIN: Yeah, I think the tougher the situation, the more this kid thrives. It's so much fun playing alongside of him. I know everybody has kind of seen it, Sony, Canadian Open. I think for both of us in this alternate shot format, we kind of just dig down maybe a little bit deeper. Games are so similar, too. I think we think the same way around the golf course. We both hit similar distances and all of that.
It's kind of like playing your own ball in some sense. We've been very successful in that format. Just a matter of making a few more birdies in the best ball.
