Q. Okay here with Hyo Joo after the first round of The Chevron Championship. Great round today; the best so far this afternoon. How would you describe your round today?

HYO JOO KIM: I played well overall, but because I kind of lost it in the 18th, in the end, I want to get my mindset together so I can play better tomorrow.

Q. And one last question from me: Only ten putts on the front nine. 24 today and ten on the front nine. What was going so well with your putting today?

HYO JOO KIM: I didn't know I did ten putts on the front nine, but seeing the numbers now I'm glad and I hope to kind of go with this tomorrow as well.

Q. You've been out here for about a decade now I guess. What are your big-picture goals? What motivates you now?

HYO JOO KIM: I've already played ten years, and somebody I really admire is Lydia, and it's because of how long she's played and all of her achievements. I aspire to be like that.

Q. And then what was the best part of your game at the Ford? What did you hope to carry on from the Ford in terms of ball striking, putting?

HYO JOO KIM: My all around best was putting from Ford, and also my iron shots. Overall just my putting in general.
