Q. On fire on the front nine, couldn't quite find as many on the back, but how would you assess how you played today and overall?

DANIEL BERGER: Yeah, I feel like I played like I did today all four days. I just didn't make any putts the first three days. It was a tough little adjustment coming from Augusta with the big undulations on the greens and fast greens, and just didn't quite adjust to that early enough.

But today I did and made some nice putts. It's nice to put myself in a good position. Maybe not quite have a chance but be up there and see my game trending.

Q. Inside the top 30 I think every event since Cognizant. Most of those are inside the top 20 or better. Is this the type of golf you feel like you've been capable of for a while?

DANIEL BERGER: Yeah, I think throughout my career I've proven that I'm a pretty consistent golfer, and when I get hot on a week here or week there, then I'll have a chance to win. Obviously getting into some of these elevated events, not that it's taken pressure off, but it's allowed me to play golf courses that better suit my game, a little tougher golf courses, and I think that's been the biggest difference is coming out to some places that I've played eight, ten times in my career and knowing how to play those golf courses.

Q. Is there something missing between getting you to the winner's circle or is it just putting it all together for four days?

DANIEL BERGER: Well, I think you can't control the results, and the biggest thing is to just focus on your process and continue to do the things you know you need to do. I've done that the last 10 weeks, and it's proven to play great golf. It's just a matter of a few shots here or there going my way, and it's the difference between winning and finishing two or three back.

Q. Does the game feel back to where it was?

DANIEL BERGER: Yeah, it's nice on a week like this, I didn't really feel like I had my best stuff and I finished -- I'm not sure how many shots off the lead I'll be, but I'm right there. When I start to get everything together and all the pieces come together, that's when I'll be holding a trophy at the end of the week.
