Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Jeeno Thitikul after her second round at the JM Eagle LA Championship. Really good round today. What was the key out there to put together a 6-under round?
JEENO THITIKUL: Well, I mean, I think today I didn't hole the putt that much. Sometimes I have a chance but I make it like two -- like three or four more, should be really like better than now.
But I take it for like 5-under par out there. Also holed out on what hole is it, 5?
Q. Yeah, for eagle.
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah.
Q. Can you tell us the specifics of that hole-out?
JEENO THITIKUL: I had a full wedge for a 58, so it's a good number to be. It's a good pin to -- like I can hit it full and nothing to worry about, being short or left or right much.
Q. And just dropped right in?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, just my third time on the LPGA that I holed out. I just talk to my caddie like oh, this is the perfect one, the best one out of three so far.
My first one I didn't saw it. It's like in BMW uphill. I didn't saw the ball land and get into the hole.
The second one I would say it's just a little bit of the luck. It's in Chevron. When I hit it oh, okay it's good but not going to go in. I don't know how it's bounce and went in.
Like today it's the perfect one so far.
Q. So you knew you could do it?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah.
Q. Amazing. I want to ask a question that I got from a reporter. Your putting, do you feel like it's improved this year? On our stats card you're moving up the ranks in putts per green in regulation. Do you feel like your putting is particularly good this year? Anything you worked on?
JEENO THITIKUL: Is it better?
Q. Yeah, it's better than last year in that category.
JEENO THITIKUL: I think I feel like after Buick last year until now I think I have more confident with my putter.
Yeah, earlier I said today I'm not dropping much putt, but I think I just maybe like doing the process and thinking less when I putt and not hope for a perfect putt or perfect line that I have aiming.
Just like trying to see the visualization and do it as like a feeling-wise, hand-eyes coordination-wise, not really hoping for like tends to be perfect or perfect judge.
Q. How was the course playing different today compared to yesterday?
JEENO THITIKUL: I think in the first couple holes it's playing same as yesterday, like kind of back nine, because the weather is kind of cold out there.
And then also the pin position I think yesterday was easier than today. Like still makable for all the hole position that we had.
But I think it just maybe like better than yesterday I guess. Like the weather-wise a little bit of the sun if you see out there. Just a tad bit, but like still.
Q. Does that affect you when it's not sunny and warm out there?
JEENO THITIKUL: I think if it's a little chilly like that and a little freezing in the morning, I think I just hit maybe a little like shorter than the normal weather.
But I have been in this weather a lot of times already. This is my fourth year, so I know how short I'm going to be.
It's not much. Just a little bit when you have the jacket on and you have to turn a lot more than you had a really good like weather out there.
