Q. Talk about your start a little bit. You got off to a pretty good go there.

WYNDHAM CLARK: Yeah, I've played nice each day starting wise. I just struggled scoring here.

Q. What is it that gives you problems that you need to go focus on scoring, specifically for this course?

WYNDHAM CLARK: It's the greens. You hit it in to 12 feet and you're playing two feet of break and if you miss it, it goes by four or five feet and you can easily three-putt. Then you put yourself in a spot where you have a really tough lag putt and it's easy to three-putt.

I had, I think, nine three-putts this week, which is unprecedented for me, and then yeah, it's just a very tough place. You have to hit a lot of greens and you have to really control your speed.

Q. You're going to Harbour Town next week. Tiny greens; it's hard to three-putt there.

WYNDHAM CLARK: Yeah, it's going to be nice -- let's just say next week will be a nice week to have putts that are a little flatter and not as much break, and yes, hopefully limit those three-putts.

Q. Can you elaborate that a little bit on the course in general? It's the opposite of these banger courses where the further you hit it, the better off you are. There you have to be strategic. You're not going to get overwhelmed. Does that play to your advantage?

WYNDHAM CLARK: Yeah, I think I can play good on any course. If it's a bomber's course or a narrow course, I feel like I can play good on either one. It's just a matter of timing up my game and swing and then making those important putts that you need each round.

Q. What about the architecture of the course?

WYNDHAM CLARK: I just like any course that has shape to the tee shots, and Harbour Town is one of the best at that. Augusta is great at that, as well, at just having shape, so the trees and the bunkers kind of frame the hole very nicely at Harbour Town.

Q. How much do you practice between now and then if you've got to decompress from here and power up for there?

WYNDHAM CLARK: Yeah, I'll do a light day Monday and then back to work Tuesday, Wednesday.
