Q. Jordan, looks like you had a nice finish to your round today, 3-under the last six holes. Tell me a little bit about your game.

JORDAN SPIETH: Yeah, it felt like it got a little better each day. That's good heading into next week. Look, I'm seven events into surgery, and only four months of practice, which could be a long time, but it's really not for us.

I obviously came in here wanting to have a chance to win, but the first two rounds did me in. I felt like two shots a round were pretty easily saveable, and I didn't quite do that.

Yeah, solid finish. It's always nice to finish lower than you were. Birdieing one of the last couple always makes you feel good.

Q. Hole location at No. 16 was a little bit different than what you're used to. Tell me about that.

JORDAN SPIETH: Yeah, it's way back in that corner. I think a lot of it had to do with it's normally a Friday pin, but then it was so windy Friday that I think they used one of the bowl ones instead.

But 13, 14, 15 you're going to see three birdies there by these leaders. Somebody is going to birdie all three of them. They're about as easy as it gets today for those holes. So it's nice that 16 -- 17 is deceivingly difficult, and then obviously that one on 18 -- somebody can shoot 5-under on the back nine. It's definitely doable.

Q. Rory is on his way to maybe a Career Grand Slam. You're in line to get one one day maybe. Talk a little bit about that.

JORDAN SPIETH: Yeah, I think he's more than deserving of having that honor. He's obviously in control. As we all know, anything can happen now. He's just hit it right on 11 so he's got to navigate that situation and then navigate the 12th and the 13th.

If he gets to 14 with a decent lead, with the way he's driving the ball and the way he's striking his irons, he should be in pretty good position.

But the thing is you just saw Rosey I think just went birdie-birdie-birdie on 11, 12, 13, and then 14 and 15 are very birdieable pins today.

It's almost like if I were Rory I'd wish that the pins were harder and it was playing a little harder at this point because he's not going to be able to take the foot off the gas, and I believe he knows that.

If he can escape 11 and 12 with two pars, he should be in pretty good shape.
