MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 13, 2025

Sungjae Im

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. What a difference, last year not making the cut and this year almost fighting for the lead.

SUNGJAE IM: Last year my shot feeling was not very good, and then my game was not really up there, but this year is kind of different.

I didn't miss the cut even though I didn't hit very good on the weekend. But this time in the Masters as I wanted, I made under par from the first day, so I feel good about that.

Q. When you started making birdies at the beginning of the round, what was the feeling? You were feeling like you could get all the way up there?

SUNGJAE IM: So especially this course it's better to start with a birdie for the beginning, but I started with a bogey, No. 4 and No. 5, so it was not a good start.

But I did birdie on 7 and 8, which made it a different vibe for me, and then I had a good par save on No. 11.

Then No. 13 I had eagle, so it made a big change.

Q. Your thoughts about this leaderboard right now, what you see there, and what do you think your prediction? What do you think might happen?

SUNGJAE IM: I wish Rory wins.
