THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.
Q. Lorenzo, congratulations. Once again, a match that started not so well and yet you still managed to close out successfully. What made a difference in the key moments, and especially in the tiebreak at the end? Do you think he lost the match or rather that you won it? Because he made a lot of unforced errors at the end.
LORENZO MUSETTI: I mean, after almost three hours of match, I think to be considered unforced errors as, you know, after 20 shots, I mean, it can be tough to call an unforced error.
But of course he was the one who miss a little bit more in the tiebreak, but it was not just that. I mean, the key of the match was, you know, as always in this week I have been -- I didn't start in any match well. You know, I couldn't find the rhythm. I couldn't find the good feelings that I had at the end.
So definitely, the most important thing, that I made some adjustments, that I always stay there with the right attitude, and that was the key.
Q. What does it mean for you to be in final of such a big tournament? In case of a victory, you may be in the top 10, so what does this represent for you?
LORENZO MUSETTI: I mean, it means so much. Honestly, is unexpected. If I look back where we started, you know, at the beginning of the week, I was of course dreaming to be in final and to have the chance, you know, to play for the top 10, for the title, for a lot of things.
But of course today I just want to enjoy and then tomorrow think about the game, the game plan, and all the emotion that I need to be ready, you know, to meet tomorrow.
Q. What kind of experience has this been for you? You said on the court that you did not feel confident in your game, you struggled, you had so many matches in three sets. The only match you didn't have in three sets was against Berrettini, actually. Then you come and make the most important success of your career after so much hardship?
LORENZO MUSETTI: Yeah, I mean, the week has been a roller coaster of emotion, you know, of surprising stuff, I will say, because of course I could have lost the first day that I played against Bu, or Lehecka, or with Stefanos.
Yeah, the only match that was really clear with the score was the one with Matteo. But in this week, I always experience, you know, the thing that I needed to run more, to try to catch the other one, no?
So hopefully tomorrow it's gonna be, I don't want to say easier, but, like, a better start, I will say. But of course I will be there to fight even in case I will lose the first set like I have done many times in this week.
Q. Your next opponent, you already played Carlos in the final in Hamburg, and you won. Do you think you could draw some lessons from that very specific match for tomorrow?
LORENZO MUSETTI: I mean, was, I would say, long time ago, three years ago. So of course both of us, we changed a lot. What I can say is that was really an epic match, I would say, a roller coaster.
There I was leading, and then I lost the second set with many match points, championship points. Then I came back.
So for sure the key of that match was the mental part, which I was there. So hopefully tomorrow I'll do the same.
