Quick Quotes
Q. Know you probably disappointed with that finish, but played well the last two days.
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Yeah, I'm playing better than that I scored for sure. Didn't score very well. Yeah, tough finish there. Played pretty solid all day until last two holes.
But, you know, this golf course, it's a pretty tough finish. If you drive it in the fairway it's not tough. You miss the fairway, it's difficult.
Q. What is the next level for you? Like you said, you're playing better than you're scoring.
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Yeah, just got to keep at it. Golf is a funny game. You play the same round and shoot 4-5-under, as I did today, shoot 1-over.
You know, just couple putts here and there drop and gives you a little momentum, a little confidence, it's a different day.
All in all it's still pretty solid. Tough conditions. Greens are a little softer, which help. Yeah, just need to hole a few more putts and get a few more in the fairway would be all right.
Q. Is there a momentum? I know the majors are spaced out. Only play four a year. But when you're contending in a lot of them as you were few years ago, does that build on itself and now you're in the opposite situation?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Yeah, for sure. All it takes is one good round though and it's kind of right back into it.
You know, for me, just got to clean up the mistakes a little bit. The game is in good form. Just got to limit the mistakes.
Q. You feel like you're getting closer to that form of play?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: The game a really close. Like I said, clean up the misses a little bit, and, yeah, everything else feels really good.
Q. Do you have some sense of excitement for going back to...
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Yeah, I mean, it's hard though. Hopefully the game is in really good form when you pull in.
Q. Well, you proved that before.
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Yeah. No, I like the course. It's right in front of you, but it's just hard.
Q. How will you prepare for that?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: No, I'm just get the game as sharp as I can.
Q. Were you hurt last year?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: No. I was struggling to find a driver was all. That was the problem. Yeah, working a lot on the driver and couldn't really ever get win I was comfortable with.
Q. You're good now?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Yeah, driving it a little better.
