MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 11, 2025

Noah Kent

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

.

Q. You're leaving here with a piece of crystal. Talk about 13, please.

NOAH KENT: Yeah. After what happened on 10 and 11, I kind of looked towards my caddie, and I'm just like, well, we can go for crystal now, and it wasn't the best lie. I think it was like 230 or whatever and I hit just a 4-iron as hard as I could, and it came out straight and I was like, this is going to be good.

Nobody clapped, so I'm like, it must not be that close, and I got up there and it was like a foot. I was like, harsh crowd. Yeah, it was pretty cool.

Q. Obviously the highlight of your day. Can you compare and contrast your first day to your second day as far as nerves, comfort, just embracing the environment?

NOAH KENT: Yeah, it was more comfortable but I was just trying to enjoy the moment a little bit more. I felt like the back nine yesterday I got a little down on myself and I didn't really enjoy the place where I really was.

And to be here as a 20-year old, could be back in classes right now. Yeah, I just kind of enjoyed the moment a little bit more. It didn't really go the way I wanted, but just to be here as a 20-year old was pretty cool.

Q. Could you describe what it was like to play with Bernhard today on such a historic day?

NOAH KENT: Yeah, it was really cool. He's an unbelievable man, unbelievable player, and the course management, just the way he plotted himself around, like nobody will ever -- like I don't know, but the driver he hit on 11 today was special. Probably one of the best shots I've ever seen.

Just to place it perfectly below the hole, the easiest chip on the -- it was so much fun. Really special.

Q. Did you guys talk much about anything in particular out there?

NOAH KENT: He was just trying to root me on. We chitchatted a little bit, where he's from, where he's playing, what's he got coming up next, but nothing too crazy.

Q. You and Will seemed to know what the cut line was and what that putt meant on 18. What were your thoughts on that putt?

NOAH KENT: I mean, yeah, I don't have any words for it. Just you want it so bad for him because it's his last Masters and he played unbelievable, and it was just really cool to be out there for him.

Q. If you could take anything away from his game that applies to yours, what would you take?

NOAH KENT: Just kind of have a little more patience, let things come to you a little bit more and learn when to press and when not to press. Just the way he carries himself. Yeah, it was just really cool and really special.

Q. As the youngest player here and him making history here, what would you say about that?

NOAH KENT: It was just a really special moment and memory to be a part of; one that I'll remember forever. It was just really cool.

Q. You've had a pretty historic run here. I think you came into Hazeltine ranked 550-ish in the world, get to runner-up at the U.S. Am, gets you to the Masters. How does that change your outlook for the next couple years at Florida?

NOAH KENT: Yeah, PGA TOUR U stuff, it's just the same grind. You want to be out here one day. I'll tell you what, it'll make every college event seem a little bit easier after playing here. You'll definitely be able to -- I was talking to my caddie on 18, it's like, you can't out-smart anybody out here, but I feel like in college you can outsmart people sometimes. It's just using the experience forward.
