Quick Quotes
Q. How would you describe the first round of play and how were conditions out there?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Conditions were fairly difficult. Played okay. Just didn't score that well. Made a couple bad bogeys early. But yeah, I mean, felt like I played pretty well, better than my score for sure. Just didn't score very well. But all in all, it was fairly solid.
Q. Did you feel your swing coming into form today?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: I felt like I was swinging it pretty well all day. Just gave myself some opportunities, burned the edges a lot, knocked it on in two on 8 and three-putted. Just didn't score very well. Hit a lot of nice putts, just nothing would go in.
Q. Tomorrow what's the key to coming into form --
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Kind of the same thing. Just try to get it in the fairway, get it on the green. I feel like I'm swinging good and rolling it well, so just got to just keep doing what I'm doing and shoot a nice score tomorrow.
Q. You said the conditions were difficult; what was difficult?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Just the wind I felt like. It was hard to get a bead on it. Just the direction, it was pretty similar all day, but it would kind of flip a little bit, kind of go from down out of the right, in out of the right on a few shots.
Out here you've got to be really precise, and it just wasn't -- hit some really good shots that didn't end up as well as I thought they would.
Q. There's a little bit of rain forecast tomorrow. Do you take into consideration --
DUSTIN JOHNSON: It all depends. It might not rain at all. There's a little chance, but it looks like the forecast is pretty good for tomorrow.
Q. I believe it's your 15th start here. With every year being different with the weather, is there a way to prepare for it or do you take it day by day?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: No, you kind of know what you need to do around here to play well. For me, you just kind of take whatever comes your way. Whatever the conditions are is what you've got to play for.
