Q. I'm sure by now you've seen Phil's tweet about you. Does that add any pressure onto this week?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: No. Obviously it's pretty special having Phil, someone like him who's won a few times out here who's a great ambassador of the game, a great ambassador of LIV Golf as well. So it's an honor.

Q. I know you played at Sage Valley. That was a couple years ago. But to know that you have played well here in the past, does that add anything to your confidence?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, Sage Valley is a beautiful place. I think one of my favorite junior tournaments that I played before. Yeah, it's a beautiful place. I was able to be back there, I think two years ago and play the course. It was nice.

Yeah, it's similar out here. I haven't put four good rounds together, but I've been playing pretty good here.

Q. If you look at the LIV guys, if it's not you, who's it going to be this week?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: I mean anybody. Whoever plays better.

Q. What qualities of Ludvig Ã…berg are you jealous of?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: How quick he is.

Q. How quick he is? What can make him world No. 1 if he needs to be?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Him? I think he has everything. He's like a really, really complete player. He has a really good and really consistent swing. That really pays off when you're under pressure.

Yeah, he has everything to be world No. 1.

Q. What does his game lack right now that you think could impact him in the future?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: I don't know. I haven't seen him play that much. I only played with him once. I feel like everybody struggles sometimes in a few aspects of their game.

From what I've seen from him, he's a really solid player all the way.

Q. I don't know if you saw Fred Ridley's press conference this morning.

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: I don't know. I haven't seen the phone yet.

Q. He talked about how there could be in the future some special exemptions, like the one you had this year on LIV and the success you've had. What does it mean that he was able to bring you up this morning and talk about that?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: It's pretty special being called from the chairman two years in a row. I really appreciate it, and it tells that they appreciate the good golf that I've been playing.

Obviously it's kind of frustrating for golf that there is a lot of LIV players that kind of deserve to be here, but I feel like there's going to be a pathway into the Masters, into the majors, which is happening right now.
