Q. Justin, we spoke just before the Par 3 Contest. Now you've been through it. Did it live up to the expectations?

JUSTIN HASTINGS: Yeah, it was special, especially playing with Russell and Keegan having their whole family out. Then seeing the hole-in-one on 6, I feel like I ticked all the boxes.

Q. You rolled up for your practice rounds on the big course not having many plans. What was your plan here, just kind of rolling up?

JUSTIN HASTINGS: Yeah, well they didn't really let me not have a plan for this one. There was a big signup sheet at registration. A lot of the groups were full, and there were a couple of two, and I made sure to ask that I wasn't cutting anybody off by joining groups.

They said they thought it was fair game. So I saw Keegan and Russell with an open group, and I thought that would be a pretty cool group to play in. I'm glad I put my name down.

Q. Does this environment compare with anything you've seen at all, even the big course?

JUSTIN HASTINGS: I guess the comparison would be the big course, but hearing roars like this is unbelievable. It's hard to explain. It just feels like there's a thousand people yelling at the same time, which there is. That's exactly what -- I don't know. It's hard to put into words.

Q. Did you play for a score or just play for the experience?

JUSTIN HASTINGS: I played for the experience, yeah. I had my brother hit my tee shot on 9 there. We had a good time.
