Quick Quotes
Q. Aaron, congratulations. Maiden Masters. Can you describe your feeling of getting into here?
AARON RAI: It's amazing. Truly a dream come true. I'm sure every first timer at the Masters probably says the same thing.
Obviously an extremely iconic event, something I would have grown up watching, something a lot of golfers would have grown up watching. Obviously it's a privilege to be here.
Q. What do you take out of the first three days here?
AARON RAI: I think firstly just how complex the golf course is, how much nuance there is, how different the course can play.
We've had a range of conditions already in the last three days. Sunday was extremely firm; had a lot of rain on Monday; yesterday was extremely soft.
Today is kind of somewhere in between. We've had a bit of wind; we've had no wind.
Even in the last few days, you've seen so many different looks of the golf course. But when you kind of add different pin locations, there's just so much to learn about the course, which you have no hope of cramming it in the space of a few days.
I think you've got to prepare to the best of your ability and just kind of play as much as you know rather than kind of overcomplicating it. We'll see how things go.
Q. Aaron, how much have you played this year on this course? Have you played the full 18?
AARON RAI: Over the last three days, we've played 18 on Sunday, played nine yesterday, played nine on Wednesday. Then played nine and nine in two days in February as well. So seen the course a couple of times.
Q. You came on your own?
AARON RAI: I came with my dad. So that was pretty awesome to share kind of our first experience of Augusta together.
Q. How would you say has been your form coming into this?
AARON RAI: Not too bad. It's been a pretty solid start, I would say, to the season.
I feel like I haven't played a lot. I feel like I've played seven or eight PGA TOUR events, but it's been pretty solid overall.
