AUGUSTA NATIONAL WOMEN'S AMATEUR

April 5, 2025

Nora Sundberg

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Second ANWA; tell us about the impressions of this week and the highlights for you.

NORA SUNDBERG: Compared to last year? I mean, this is just a magical week. There's nothing really that can beat this golf course, this tournament, the people here playing. Everything around it, like meeting the members and everybody arranging the event, everything is just top chair. You can't beat it. It's just so special to be here and to play, and I know last year when I played it, I was very, very nervous, of course, because I'm playing against the best people in the world, and I made the cut, so I got to play here in front of I don't know how many people, but too many people.

This year, I felt a little bit more prepared going into it. It's definitely been easier, I would say, in a way. I wasn't as nervous, so I could actually see the ball. I could hold my club. But it's been equally as fun. It's just a great week.

Q. You've had many opportunities to practice with the Swedish players, to play with Swedish players. How important was that?

NORA SUNDBERG: Very important. We had a Swedish coach for the ladies' national team coming over, so he had one of the special guest tickets, so he had been here -- he's been here the whole week and been watching us. It just feels more secure. You feel more safe when you have people from -- that's seen you grow up, play junior golf, and then transition into college golf. It's just very comfortable to have them here, and also important to have Louise and to have Havanna and Meja play. So we played a practice round together and we've been practicing a little bit outside of the practice rounds, as well.

Q. Your plans now, what's coming next for you?

NORA SUNDBERG: So I'm in college, and we're getting into postseason now, so conference, regionals and NCAA hopefully, so next Saturday we fly to North Carolina to prepare for conference, so that's next for me.
