Q. Congratulations, Lauren, on a hard-fought match. Seems like most of your matches have gone the distance or even an extra hole. Just summarize what today was like for you.

LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, I think I just got off to a little bit of a slow start with the putter. The greens are very slick and some of the pins today had a ton of slope.

But other than that I felt like I calmed down there after about six, seven holes, and then finally started to hit some good golf shots and make a couple putts.

Q. You talked a couple days ago about being a fighter, that you will fight to the end for every inch on the golf course. Why are you like that? What makes you like that?

LAUREN COUGHLIN: I think I just learned that there is no point in giving up. You never know what's going to happen, especially in match play.

You never know what your opponent is going to do, so you don't want to give anything away. You always want to stay in it until there is no more holes left.

Q. What is your recuperation process to get ready for the next match since you have another match?

LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, get some food, probably take a really hot bath and just chill out for the rest of the night.
