Q. Here with Lauren Coughlin after her round 16 match of the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards. Very steady 2-up win over Sei Young Kim. Take us through the day.

LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, she hit it so close on the first to make birdie. I kind of hung in there. It was playing super tough. Greens are very firm and fast, it's windy, it's really easy to kind of try to want to force it.

I was just trying to stay super patient and make as many pars as I could.

Q. How much of last year's experience at the Solheim Cup maybe helped you? Obviously a lot less pressure. Still having the match play knowing you can make some of those big time putts in that kind of intensity.

LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, I've always loved match play so it's always -- I'm always looking forward to this event. It's one of my favorites of the year. It's an amazing golf course, and, yeah, match play is just super fun.

It's very different, and, yeah, of course I'm going to take some positives from last year. Making some of those putts down the stretch when I really needed to was huge and so much fun.

Yeah, just trying to keep enjoying that here.

Q. Last one. Saw you had some friends and family out here. How great is it to have that support especially at this tournament where the more you go on the less friends you see on the course?

LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, no, it's really cool to have two of my husband and I's really, really close friends Katie, she works for No Laying Up, and her husband John. They're very good friends, Pearl Jam and Metallica with them. They live in the area, so had some cool experiences with them in Vegas, and always special when you have friends out and always happy to have my husband out.
