Quick Quotes
Q. Pretty solid round today, 3-under par.
ANNA DAVIS: Yes.
Q. Four birdies on the card. Tell us what was working well out there for you.
ANNA DAVIS: I think I just played really consistent today, a lot of fairways, a lot of greens. Gave myself a good amount of birdie opportunities on the back nine and made a few good pars there too on holes 10, 11, 12.
I think just kind of made the putts when they mattered. It was just really consistent, a lot of fairways, a lot of greens.
Q. Anything on your mind for tomorrow, just playing for tomorrow?
ANNA DAVIS: Just same thing, same mindset I had today. Obviously Megha put up a really good round today, so just kind of trying to catch her now.
Yeah, just give myself a lot of birdie opportunities and capitalize on those hopefully, so yeah.
Q. Describe your appreciation for the players dinner now as opposed to maybe coming your first year off winning the championship. Have the off the golf course activities been more important to you as you've gotten older?
ANNA DAVIS: I think so. I think your first year you don't really know what to expect, but I feel like I've kind of got the lay of the land now. This is my fourth year now.
Yeah, I think it's really cool that they do that for us. We get to spend a lot of time at Augusta, which is cool. It's nice to be able to socialize with everyone. It kind of helps you realize that it's not all about golf.
Yeah, it's nice to talk to everyone and have them put on those social events for us.
Q. How much has this golf course changed since last year?
ANNA DAVIS: It's changed -- I mean, like I think over the last three years, it's changed a lot in the way that they've set it up for us.
Obviously it's changed a little bit a few holes because of the storm. There's an obvious one, 4, big tree fell down. Then hole 16, I think -- yeah, 16. So it just changes those two holes, like pretty difficult holes that aren't as hard anymore, which is nice for us. Maybe not for the golf course.
Q. I think everybody is a big fan of a couple trees going down.
ANNA DAVIS: Yeah, we don't want to say it out loud, but definitely fans of a few.
I think as the years have gone on, the setup has been different every single year. I remember the first year I played it and the greens were rock hard. Now we can actually get spin on the ball here. So just a few things that have changed over the years.
