Q. Congratulations.
CARLA BERNAT ESCUDER: Thanks.
Q. Feel pretty good?
CARLA BERNAT ESCUDER: Yeah, I hit the ball so well.
Q. If you don't mind, just kind of take us through today's round and how you felt.
CARLA BERNAT ESCUDER: It was awesome. I played well. I hit the ball really solid. My speed was really good too.
I think I managed the important moments pretty well today, yeah.
Q. This is your third time, I know, playing in this tournament. How was your preparation maybe different this time?
CARLA BERNAT ESCUDER: I've been playing college golf since January, so nonstop. I think I'm like rolled. So I'm ready to compete, if that makes sense.
Q. How was the course today compared to the last couple of times you've played out here?
CARLA BERNAT ESCUDER: There's two trees that were missing that made the golf course kind of harder, which I'm glad they're not there anymore.
But yeah, it's still perfect conditions. It's really nice to play here because everything is like perfect.
Q. Tied for 3rd currently at 4-under. What do you do tonight to prep for tomorrow, and does anything change for you?
CARLA BERNAT ESCUDER: No. I mean, hopefully just a good steak or something like that and do the same tomorrow. At least as good, if that makes sense.
Q. How do you keep yourself from kind of looking forward to Saturday in Augusta National? How do you stay present here tomorrow?
CARLA BERNAT ESCUDER: That's a good question. I think I'm going to just do the same.
Like I'm doing a lot of math on the golf course with my coach because I play meters and she does yards. So I think my head is more in the math concept this week than anything else. So I think that's a good thing.
Q. Is that a good distraction for you then?
CARLA BERNAT ESCUDER: It kind of is. It's kind of a challenge, yeah. With the lie, the wind, the slope, like too many numbers. You know what I mean?
