Q. First year at ANWA; what are your initial impressions of Champions Retreat after today's practice round?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: I really like the course. I enjoy playing here. It's pretty tough, to be honest. I hope I can make the cut.

Q. What are you going to be focusing on the next couple of days to make the cut?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: I think I just need to stick to the game plan and not try to force it too much.

Q. Freshman at Oregon; how have you liked your freshman season there for the Ducks?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: So far, so good. I like my team. I like the coaches. Everything is just so good. I really enjoy being a Duck.

Q. What does it mean for you to be here and hopefully play at Augusta National on Saturday but in the meantime soak up this experience? What does that mean to you?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: So I'm really excited to be here for sure because it's my first time, and the best players in the world. Just so excited to compete with them. Looking forward for the rest of the day.

Q. Have you gotten any advice on things to look at this week or focus on as you prep for tomorrow's action?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: Yeah, some of my friends just told me to just try to have fun. That's it. It's just tough out there.

Q. Who do you have cheering you on this week?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: I have no idea.

Q. Do you have family here, coaches here, teammates?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: Only my dad. Yeah, he's going to be my caddie. I think my coach, he might fly here if I play well.

Q. If you make the cut, he might show up for Saturday?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: Yeah, he might show up.

Q. Have you had your dad on the bag before?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: Yeah.

Q. What is that like, your relationship, when he's caddying for you?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: Not bad. Yeah, I like it. I guess I need to say something nice. Yeah, he's good.

Q. What does he say if you were getting frustrated or down? How does he lift you up?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: I never really get down on the course because I know that I just need to enjoy playing golf. Yeah, he's just dad, just being a dad.

Q. Was he excited when you asked him to caddie for you this week?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: I think he's very excited, but he didn't show it at all.

Q. What does it mean to you to have him here with you all weekend at such a big tournament?

SUVICHAYA VINIJCHAITHAM: I am very thankful and grateful for him to be here. I kind of miss him a little bit.
