Quick Quotes
Q. Great playing today to move inside the cut line. What does it mean to make the cut here and what were you able to do well today?
KEVIN KISNER: I kept it in the fairway and made a few putts on the front nine. Obviously through 27 I wasn't playing that great, and but it was close. I just wasn't ever hitting any shots close to the hole, so birdieing the two par-5s on the front and then getting a bonus one on 8 made 9 a lot easier.
Q. Do you get that cut line anxiety down the stretch at this point in your career?
KEVIN KISNER: Oh, yeah, you always want to make the weekend for sure, especially when you haven't made one all year, so you got to pop the top there, so I was able to do that, but I like the way my game's trending more than making the cut, so two more days of competition, getting some good reps in and I'm going to play a bunch right after the Masters, so looking forward to more solid play and less talking about it.
Q. Was there anything early week that you found or dialed in or tweaked that helped you today?
KEVIN KISNER: Well I was just all week the same stuff I've been working on all week. Really concentrating on take away and making it solid and that's what I focused oncoming in.
Q. Are there any, what's your TV schedule the next few?
KEVIN KISNER: I'm calling next week for NBC and then playing Valero and so then I'm off until the U.S. Open.
Q. Was that this week was it considered or was it discussed whether to do this?
KEVIN KISNER: Not this week. Valero, maybe, if I don't make the cut I'll call again, but they're so cool they're like we'll figure it out either way, so it's been awesome partnership so far.
Q. What's something, how has being a broadcaster at all influenced how you feel about your play on the course in terms of --
KEVIN KISNER: Well I do notice that we all do the same thing. So we all miss the same putts in the same area and we all hit the ball in remotely the same area all day long, so I see especially because we're only watching the guys playing the best that are in the most control so you see a lot of the same stuff over and over and over again.
Q. Does it make you less hard on yourself at all?
KEVIN KISNER: Well I wish we showed the guys shooting 80 more because then it would but I mostly am just watching Rory McIlroy hit it 380 which I can't do. So just more than anything I have envy off the tee.
Q. What are you looking forward to about playing on the weekend and you're still only a few back of the lead?
KEVIN KISNER: The lead's not too far out of the way. Hopefully get some good weather and be warm enough in the morning to make some birdies and see what happens. You never know around here. You can shoot 65 if you get it going but it's just a brutal golf course as you're seeing with the scores, you get into the rough and the greens are so small it's hard to hit and then it's just tough getting it up-and-down.
