Q. Jesse Love with a bold move on that restart. As you look at the restart would you have done anything differently in hindsight?

SAM MAYER: Yeah, I'm definitely going to go look at it and see if I can do anything better because I'm definitely learning as we go.

But huge props to this team. This Audibel Ford Mustang was really, really fast today. I am super proud to be up at the front with these guys, especially with a new team like this. They worked really hard this offseason to make cars as fast as Xfinity Mobile, but so far, so good.

The Rockingham test was really good, this was really good, so there's lots of positivity going around, huge shout out to Haas factory that builds these race cars.

Q. Daytona has not been your friend in the past. In fact super speedways have not been your friend. First top 5 finish here at Daytona. What clicked today?

SAM MAYER: First top 5 finish, yikes. Yeah, we kind of just did everything that we wanted to. The car was capable of it, and Tyler Green up on the roof, he's new to me, so we worked really well together today.

So I'm super pumped to see what we can do the rest of the year. Obviously going into Atlanta next week, it's another fun one for us, so we'll get to see how it goes, but there's just a lot of positivity going on right now.
