Quick Quotes
Q. Runner-up in the Africa Amateur Championship; what are you feeling just now?
KEEGAN SHUTT: A little bit of disappointment, I think. Yeah, I don't think I'm going to forget that triple on 7 for a while. I think that's where I lost today. But I'm very happy the way I fought back these last two days. Very, very good golf, I think. Apart from 7, I played really well the last two days, and you never know, it could have gone another way if I had made par or even bogey. Anyways, it's golf, it happens.
Q. You mentioned the performances of the two rounds. Did that give you a lot of confidence looking ahead to future events that you'll be playing in?
KEEGAN SHUTT: Yeah, for sure. The whole week I was hitting the ball really well. Just the first two days I didn't putt like I wanted to. But yeah, I think I can carry this forward, and if I can keep this momentum going, I think it will be looking good for me.
Q. Just a word for Bryan, obviously a good winner. Any words for him?
KEEGAN SHUTT: Yeah, well done to him. I tried to make a late charge on him. I came in with some birdies, but he managed to hold it together and he finished strong. Really well done to him.
Q. Just some thoughts on the experience overall. How much have you enjoyed being back playing at Leopard Creek in this championship?
KEEGAN SHUTT: I love this course. I honestly think this is the best course in Africa, if not the world, but it's definitely my favourite. I just want to say a huge shout-out to R&A for everything you guys do. Every year this tournament is amazing, and I hope to be back last year.
