WM PHOENIX OPEN

February 7, 2025

Rasmus Hojgaard

Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

TPC Scottsdale

Quick Quotes

Q. Just wanted to get your thoughts, very first WM Phoenix Open, how was that for you?

RASMUS HOJGAARD: It was good. I was expecting a bit more noise and a bit more cheering out there today, and it was awesome. I was playing well, so it felt nice.

Again, it's very different from when I've played back in Europe.

Q. Obviously a different environment. Is the approach any different when you can hear the noise in the back or you're getting closer?

RASMUS HOJGAARD: Well, you try not to react too much to whatever is going on. I think it's very good training, to be fair, about focus on your shot and not let all these distractions try to get to you.

I think I managed it well today, and I'm looking forward to what the weekend brings.

Q. Obviously the party atmosphere is unique. Do you think other events on the PGA TOUR should adopt similar elements or do you think it's just a good one-off?

RASMUS HOJGAARD: You're asking a guy who hasn't played much over here, so I can't really answer that. It's a fun event. It's very different from everything else, I'm sure.

Maybe some other events could have a similar thing, as well, but I can give you a better answer in a year's time.
