Q. Incredible start for your first round at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. 65, bogey-free. You couldn't have wished for a better start?

DAVID MICHELUZZI: Yeah, definitely. Never played it before it's a tough golf course. Everyone is saying how tough it was. And today I played great. There's nothing more to it.

Q. It does seem like this course is evolving year-on-year, and it's getting tougher, the fairways are tighter, and the rough is certainly up. How did it play for you?

DAVID MICHELUZZI: Yeah, it was nice for the first, I'd say, like 11, 12 holes and then the wind got up a little bit. Just kept hitting good shots, and stumped a few shots where I probably wasn't aiming. Got lucky with those, and then hold some nice putts coming in.

Q. Lovely finish to your round. Four birdies on the bounce to come in,

DAVID MICHELUZZI: Yeah, you don't mind that, do you. Lunch tastes very sweet after that.

Q. What's the outlook for 2025? Obviously you're not new to the DP World Tour anymore. You've got good understanding and a foundation for what to do around here.

DAVID MICHELUZZI: Just go out and enjoy it. Last year was, I'd say, nerve-wracking, first year out, it's always tough, new venues every week. Just want to look forward to every event and play the best I can, and I started well this week, which is nice.
