Ludvig Aberg

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA

Harbour Town Golf Links

Quick Quotes

Q. Seemed like the game traveled pretty well to Hilton Head. What was working best for you out there today?

LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Yeah, I think tee to green it was really good. Obviously it makes it a lot easier if you're good off the tee here at this golf course because you kind of avoid the trees and all the angles.

Did that very well today, then you can be a little bit more aggressive into the greens, but still can't really force anything.

Felt like we did that very well today, and hopefully we'll be able to keep that up the rest of the week.

Q. Do you feel like you're still kind of learning the golf course a little bit today since this is your first trip here?

LUDVIG Ã…BERG: I think so. Anytime you get to a new golf course -- obviously I trust my caddie Joe a lot. He's been around here quite a bunch. He's got all the nuggets and all the angles we're trying to work.

But I think the more time you spend on a golf course, the easier it gets. You get more comfortable with lines and such.

Hopefully I'll keep learning tomorrow and still play good golf.

Q. Can you take us through I think it was a 2-iron that you hit on the par-5 that set up the eagle there?

LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Yeah, it's funny because it was a really -- it was actually a perfect shot. It set up perfectly for that club and that number. It was just the way that we wanted to play. Banked right on the green a couple of paces on and released to the back.

It was one of them you just try to get it somewhere up there close to try to make a 4. Sometimes you hit a good shot and it gets close, and luckily I rolled in the putt.

Q. We saw Gordon Sargent today say he is going to stay for his senior year. As someone who stayed all four years and took advantage of the U system, wondering what you gained specifically in that final year that helped you once you transitioned.

LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Yeah, I mean, I think Gordon, he's a tremendous golf player. We've played a lot together. I think he's got some good people around him making good decisions. For me in my case, I think a fourth year at Tech really helped me. It helped me keep developing, keep getting better and keep maturing as a player and as a person.

It is a little bit different playing TOUR golf than it is in college, but I'm sure he'll be ready whenever his time comes.

Q. Were you able to refresh yourself a little bit over the last few days after Augusta?

LUDVIG Ã…BERG: A little bit. I'm so into -- like my focus shifted right when I got here. We were trying to make sure that last week was last week and this week was this week. But yeah, obviously last week is still something I look back on with a smile. But yeah, my focus is here this week, and hopefully we'll be able to keep up good golf.

Q. Are you a little tired from it or have you gotten some rest?

LUDVIG Ã…BERG: I'd like to think that I'm young and I'll be able to handle it, but yes, I think I'll crash for a few days next week when I'm not playing. But I'm looking forward to the rest of the week.

Q. The adrenaline of this week, kind of just keep you going through that maybe?

LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Yeah, I think so. I love playing back-to-back weeks. I think it's great. I feel like I'm getting better and better as I play on. But obviously last week was very, very memorable.

Q. I don't think there's a Chipotle on the island. What are we doing for dinner?

LUDVIG Ã…BERG: I'm not sure. I haven't thought about it too much. We'll see if we can figure something else out.
