THE MODERATOR: Welcome back to Stuttgart. Can you tell us how you're feeling ahead of the tournament?

ANGELIQUE KERBER: Yeah, it's nice to be back in Stuttgart. For me, special home tournament.

Yeah, I feel good, okay so far. Yeah, it's nice to be back here.

Q. Talking of coming back, how have the last few months been for you on tour? Any shocks? Any surprises? Or is it exactly the same as when you left?

ANGELIQUE KERBER: You know, of course not really shocks. To be honest, they are everything what I was expecting.

I need time. I had good matches. I won matches against top-10 players, but also I had quite tough losses.

But, yeah, it's actually everything what I was expecting before. It's just nice to being back and I try to enjoy every moment, like with also a little bit different mindset now than few years ago, but yeah, it's quite nice to be back on tour.

Q. Different mindset? Can you elaborate on that?

ANGELIQUE KERBER: Yeah, because I'm not alone anymore, so this is actually what I mean with the different mindset. So yeah. Nothing special (smiling).
