Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Ryann O'Toole. I know not the result you wanted, but, hey, you put yourself in a playoff and gave yourself a chance. Evaluate the week and how proud are you of your final round effort.

RYANN O'TOOLE: I can't be more proud to be in this position. You know, that was actually my first playoff ever, so I really enjoyed it.

At least I gave it my best attempt. That putting could have gone either way. You know, Nelly played obviously really great. Obviously last couple holes for her put her in the position to be in a playoff with me.

Hey, I came from behind and gave it my best chance. I can't be more proud.

Q. We talked to you before it was official that you were in the playoff. When did you realize that was going to happen?

RYANN O'TOOLE: I didn't realize until I saw Nelly hit it over the green on 18. Okay, that's a really hard up and down.

So I just like was like, okay, I think it's time to go warm up. We had those putts earlier, like she's kind of been down here already, so she's a little familiar with below the hole.

But I just stayed patient and hit a solid shot in there, gave it a solid putt, maybe two inches further and it would've gone in.

Q. What does that look like when you have to wait that kind of long? For you, I know obviously keep your body warm. Anything that really goes into that thought process?

RYANN O'TOOLE: It's really hard because you turn that phone on and you're waiting for updates or where you should go. At the same time, everyone is sending messages and everything like that. It's not over yet, guys. It's not over.

It's just trying to stay in the moment. Obviously it's like a pause in playing. You finish 18 holes and you got it pause and go play again. It's a learning experience.

I can't say like I did anything wrong in it. You know, I actually thought I was going to hit the putt further than I did but I was nervous so I was surprise it actually came out soft.

Q. Looking just ahead of the rest of the year, how do you build off this? Last year was a little bit more challenging than you would've expected. This year, to get off to this good start, how are you really going to build on this?

RYANN O'TOOLE: You know, this is my second event of the year. I feel like first one was just I was not in a good place. Now it's like I kind of got -- I didn't go Asia. Wanted to work on myself, get my routine back, work with Jorge on stuff.

I just felt like that was probably the best choice I could have had. I only played one round with these irons prior to this event, so obviously made a good choice there. I just think it sheds light on, okay it's a nice start. Let's keep going.
