Bay Hill Club and Lodge

Quick Quotes

Q. You said you were searching with your swing. Did you find something?

RUSSELL HENLEY: Not really. I've just been trying to kind of just see some shots, see some draws and cuts, and try to get away from any sort of technical thought. Yeah, it wasn't terrible today, it wasn't great off the tee. I feel like it's close. My body feels good. I feel pretty good physically. I feel like I'm thinking well, so just see if I can execute.

Q. What was the best shot of the day for you?

RUSSELL HENLEY: Great question. My second shot into 8, water, I knew I had to hit the 8-iron really solid to clear the water. I worked it right-to-left, just like me and Andy talked about, and hit it under the hole to eight or 10 feet and made it, so that was really a great shot.

Q. Have you been getting too technical and now you're getting away from it?

RUSSELL HENLEY: You know, I don't know. I just, maybe I have, maybe I haven't. I'm not a very technical player, but it's just more so just, it just hasn't been coming out where I'm looking as much this year as normal.

Q. What did you hit into 14?

RUSSELL HENLEY: 14? 6-iron. Hit a big draw 6-iron. Andy talked me off of a 5, so I was really happy he did.
