HONDA LPGA THAILAND

February 25, 2024

Patty Tavatanakit

Pattaya, Thailand

Siam Country Club Pattaya, Old Course

TV - Trophy Presentation

Q. Patty, you're getting used to these Sundays in 2024. It's a good feeling, huh?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, it's a great feeling playing in front of my parents and home crowd. It's incredible to be able to stand here right now at this moment.

Q. We know you've won twice on the LPGA Tour. A major of course The Chevron. To say you are a popular winner would be an understatement.

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I'm so grateful for all the fans. The support on 15 was I think an important key for today.

So, yeah, I feel so lucky to have all these fans and my parents for their continuous support. I haven't won in front of my parents yet, so I'm pretty happy to be able to do that in front of them.

Q. They got to be delighted, and so have the crowd that have come out to watch you. If we go back 12 months you've improved 29 shots.

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah.

Q. What's the difference we're seeing with you this year?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Looking back it was exactly a year ago I was trying to get my body to a place where I'm strong enough to play comfortably four rounds.

I did it. It took the whole season last year. I feel like at the end of the season last year I was getting stronger and over the off-season I was also getting stronger.

I think that was the key point with everything. I like to thank again my team for their support. My back coach back home. Trainer, Elise (phonetic) right here, trainers back home. Everyone in my life has been so supportive of me and I'm just really happy they're a part of it.

Q. Were you impressed with yourself this week? Did you think after winning last week on the Ladies European Tour you had into to lift the trophy this week? You admitted coming into the weekend you were tired.

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I was really tired. I was tired yesterday. I'm tired today. So I ate a little bit more on the front nine today to have enough energy on the back nine.

I didn't really think about winning coming into this week. I mainly just wanted to have fun playing in front of my fans, because compared to last year I was more ready to play in front of them this year.

To finish out winning is a little bit unexpected, but I'm also proud of myself.
