TV Quick Quotes

Q. What a special moment this is, Nick. How you just played that closing stretch. You birdied three of the last four in regulation and then you just birdied both extra holes in the playoff. What did you draw on coming down the stretch today?

NICK TAYLOR: Yeah, I tried to draw on last year. I didn't have it early on. I made some ridiculous par saves. That 18th tee shot has given me trouble in the past. To hit three pretty good ones and birdie it three times is amazing.

I drew on that last putt honestly from last year. I had that putt when I finished second. Saw the line, and I obviously was seeing the lines great all week, so it's amazing that went in, too.

Q. Last year you said you felt like the underdog coming down the stretch against Scottie Scheffler last year. You went and won your national Open last year. How much more comfortable did you feel this time around?

NICK TAYLOR: Yeah, more comfortable. It was a marathon day. We signed our scorecard after the third round, and I had eight minutes to go to the tee. I don't know if that riled me a little bit, but it was just a long day. Again, to find my swing a bit the last nine or ten holes and make some birdies was incredible.

Q. How special is it to celebrate this one with family?

NICK TAYLOR: It's the best. Canadian Open they weren't there and it was killing me, but this one is amazing.
