Q. Congratulations, lovely round here; 2-under to begin your Women's Amateur Asia Pacific. How are you feeling after that?

JAMIE CAMERO: Yeah, I feel it's a pretty good start. Just the thought that I know I can go low here. You know, it's not my best round, but all in all, there's good momentum going into the week. I really like the course. I love the turf and the vibes here.

Q. Is there a hole out there that you particularly like or that stands for you today?

JAMIE CAMERO: To be honest, I like all of them. I quite like the last par-3 on the back nine. It's a small hole, a short hole, but it's really tricky; a big undulated green.

But all of the course is really good. Great condition. I also like hole 9 because it's pretty hard. I love getting that over with.

Unfortunately, I bogeyed it today, so I'll try to birdie it tomorrow.

Q. You've just mentioned a bogey. What about a highlight? What was a hole that you made a birdie on and really stood out as a great effort?

JAMIE CAMERO: On hole 8, I made a pretty big birdie. I hadn't holed putts all day and holed an eight-footer, and that was kind of the highlight of my round. Just to get it in was very relieving. I would say that was the highlight of my round.

Q. Talk to us about the experience of competing in this championship. It's all the best players from the region. Must be exciting to be amongst them.

JAMIE CAMERO: Yeah, of course. I actually wasn't aware of this event until 2021, when it was hosted at home in Abu Dhabi. I kind of made it a goal to get here, and now that I'm here, it's pretty surreal.

Yeah, a great experience for sure.

Q. So in 2021, you didn't play?

JAMIE CAMERO: I didn't.

Q. So you saw that championship, and you put that as a goal.

JAMIE CAMERO: Yeah.

Q. How was your golf back then, and how much have you improved to make it in?

JAMIE CAMERO: Yeah, a lot, to say the least. A lot more consistent. A lot more confident. I always thought that I had the game but never really had anything to show for it. I'm hoping this event will do something to change that.
