Bradenton Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, I'm here with Robyn Choi after her third round at the LPGA Drive On Championship. Solid round of 66. Can you walk us through your round out there, especially that back nine you had?

ROBYN CHOI: Yeah, I think I had a pretty solid day today. It was kind of pretty windy out there, so I think it was tough trying to like get the distance and like figure out how much it's going to run out on these greens.

Overall, I think I had just a steady game, fairways and greens. I think my putts just kind of dropped in a little bit more today, so I think that's why.

Q. And you mentioned the wind. Any other course conditions compared to the last few days that I noticed for today?

ROBYN CHOI: No, not really. It was mostly the wind. It was some of the holes that were playing a little bit long during the practice rounds were playing a little bit shorter today. I think that kind of helped a little bit.

And the greens are just running pure, so I think just rolling them the way I wanted to and happened to drop in.

Q. When the winds are this high how do you adapt especially as it increased throughout the round?

ROBYN CHOI: Yeah, just trying to really commit to my shot. I just have to play for the wind, knowing it's going to take it one direction or it's going to come up shorter.

Just really adjusting to that and just if I have to play low shots, then I'll come in and play some low shots. Overall I like to play my normal and adjust to the wind.

Q. It's been a long time since Q-Series. Maybe not that long. What have you been doing in the meantime to prepare?

ROBYN CHOI: So I've had a few tournaments in between. I had about two straight after Q-Series and a lot of traveling as well. I didn't really have much of an off-season. I think I took ten days off and had to start preparing for this event.

So, yeah, I was just kind of trying to warm up really, yeah.
