THE MODERATOR: English questions.

Q. Congrats on the win. Would you say it was your best win of the season, considering everything that has been going on for the last months? Of course it must give you a lot of confidence to win in such a tough fashion.

MIOMIR KECMANOVIC: Yeah, I mean, definitely after the very good year that I had on tour, it feels good to win this kind of match. You know, I lost these kind of matches I think at least six or seven times this year where it was, you know, 7-6, third set.

So I'm thankful that I was able to play good and that, you know, I was able to win this time.

Q. I thought you had a good week in Estoril until the final. There you told me you were on fire one day. The next day you were blazing. I was, like, Wow, his English is good. Is this your best level, would you say, that you produced today? Maybe even since the beginning of last year with Australia and Miami?

MIOMIR KECMANOVIC: Yeah, that comment in Estoril did not work out, did it (smiling)?

Q. Not in the final.

MIOMIR KECMANOVIC: No, it didn't. Even the rest of the year it did not pay off. (Smiling.)

I mean, I think from Stockholm, end of season, I started playing like I did before. You know, okay, I didn't do anything crazy, but I had a top-10 win. The second week, three sets with him again. Then even in Paris, you know, I had a tough match. So I think from indoors I have been playing a lot better. It's just been, you know, progressively showing.

Q. Can you just talk about the fact that this match was so close and getting through such a close match in Davis Cup as distinct from a match in the regular tour?

MIOMIR KECMANOVIC: Yeah, it was definitely very close, and just the atmosphere made it, I think, even more tense than it probably would be if it was like an ATP match or something.

So just the whole, you know, occasion, what we play for, who we play for, just made it a lot more special.

You know, luckily it went my way today, and in important moments I was able to stay focused, stay calm, and, you know, I'm happy that I was able to get the first point.

Q. Give us a word, if you can, on Jack, as well. Where do you see his strengths and his game?

MIOMIR KECMANOVIC: I mean, definitely the serve is his biggest weapon. I mean, he hits well from the back, hits big shots. He definitely has a big game, and he's a very dangerous player.

I mean, he made some good results in the slams and all that. He had some injuries, so that was a bit unlucky, but you see when he plays good, when he's there, you know, finals in Sofia, won a challenger straightaway, so he definitely has the game to be here.

Q. Congrats for the win, first of all, and if Nole wins his match, your next opponents could be Lorenzo Sonego, Lorenzo Musetti, or Matteo Arnaldi. What do you think about them?

MIOMIR KECMANOVIC: I mean, all three are amazing players. They play very well, especially recently. So it's not going to be easy, but, you know, we're still one set short, so let's get through this, rest tomorrow, and then we'll see who we play.
