November 17, 2023

Nasa Hataoka

Naples, Florida, USA

Tiburon Golf Club

Flash Interview

Q. Here with Nasa Hataoka. Another incredible performance out there here at the CME Group Tour Championship. What did you carry over from the first day that you really took advantage of?

NASA HATAOKA: I'm trying to play like relax and enjoy my golf, so it was really work for me.

Q. Did it feel like a slower start for you maybe as compared to yesterday? Yesterday you started with all the birdies. Did it feel like a slower start? Did it take a little bit to find the groove out there today?

NASA HATAOKA: Yeah, today was different wind direction, so it was a little bit tougher for me.

But still I was focused on my swing, so I made birdie on 9. It was great birdie. Was good birdie.

Q. What did that birdie do for your round?

NASA HATAOKA: I think I was able to get my good rhythm after that birdie.

Q. You closed with two birdies on 17 and 18. Walk me through what was the strategy on the last holes.

NASA HATAOKA: Last hole?

Q. Last two.

NASA HATAOKA: On 17 of course I was trying to make a birdie, but it was tough chip shot from the left of the green.

It was big break for me, but I hit a good chip shot and I made a good putt.

18th hole, I hit okay, but my putting was really good, about like 30 feet.

Q. Tomorrow, moving day. What is the game plan as you take on your last moving day of the season?

NASA HATAOKA: I'm trying still same thing: enjoy myself and trying to play my game.
