Lexi Thompson

Belleair, Florida, USA

Q. Lexi, obviously doing what Lexi does, signing a lot of autographs here. We talked a little on the air about how it's been the tale of two halves of golf for you this year. What were you able to do to flip the switch to play more like Lexi this end of the year?

LEXI THOMPSON: I think just staying patient with myself. I know I was putting in the time on the golf course and the practice facility and putting in the drills, but just the productive work and get on the right track with one key swing thought that I found that really worked.

I knew once I clicked onto it before Solheim, all right, it's about time, but that tournament in general I wanted to go and represent my best. I did so with my team alongside, so I'm happy that I got to play some good golf after that as well.

Q. Do you want to share the secret of that swing thought?

LEXI THOMPSON: No. Everybody has been asking. It's super simple. I've just been working with Tony Ruggiero back at home, working on the right things and really zoning in on them. No, I can't give out my secret.

Q. Tell us about the experience of playing at the Shriners. Was what fun for you?

LEXI THOMPSON: It was incredible. Playing at Shriners and seeing all the kids and playing against the men was unbelievable. I grew up with my two older brothers and trying to outdrive them from the back tees, so I felt more comfortable than I thought I would've been.

I was just trying to go out there and send a message to the kids that no dream is too big and they should go after what they want.
