THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Congratulations on a wonderful victory. Given the less-than perfect preparation for you guys sort of arriving late, was it almost the perfect day?

BARBORA KREJCIKOVA: Well, I think it was definitely a perfect day for the team. It was very important that Linda won the first match, and then Marie, she finished the second one, so it was 2-0 up. It was great that we won the tie already. I think we went there to, yeah, to try to get the third point.

Q. Katerina, you're an experienced player. Just a word for someone like Linda, an 18-year-old making her debut, could you say a few words on how well you feel she did today?

KATERINA SINIAKOVA: Well, I think she did great. It was really tough match. I think they both played really good, actually. So of course I was really happy that she won the first point.

Q. How are you feeling after all the travel? How difficult was it?

BARBORA KREJCIKOVA: Well, after the match I feel very tired, so I'm really looking forward to come to the hotel. I mean, I'm definitely happy that I'm here, that I'm with the team. I think we have a really good team this year, and I believe we can do really well.

I'm definitely really just happy with the way how we played today, because I think we played really tough opponents and I think that we perform actually really well.

Q. It's a difficult group, obviously. I imagine this result will give you plenty of confidence going into the USA tie?

KATERINA SINIAKOVA: Well, it's going to be tough matches, anyway. But of course we are happy that we won the tie and that we won all three matches. But, I mean, we have still two days, four more practices. It's going to be tough, anyways. Yeah, I think it's a good start.

Q. Petr, almost a perfect day for Team Czechia?

CAPTAIN PETR PALA: Why almost (smiling)?

Q. Well, I suppose, I imagine you'd be able to find some, not improvement necessarily, but I imagine it was very good nonetheless?

CAPTAIN PETR PALA: I mean, girls came yesterday evening. First time they came on the center court they played well after long journey. Other two girls played their first matches, won in straight sets. So it was perfect.
