Q. Yu, Take us through your round today. Bogey-free, 7-under I believe; what was working for you so well out there?

YU LIU: I mean, the weather was in pretty pristine condition today. Greens were pure, so you feel like you don't really got an excuse for missing putts out here.

Thankfully my reads were pretty good the majority of the time so I was able to roll some good putts, yeah.

Q. Are the greens pretty easy out here or what is about these greens?

YU LIU: It's not easy, just the condition is really nice. The ball is rolling really pure.

Q. What did you like about this course maybe that suits your game and helped you today?

YU LIU: Honestly, coming to today I had pretty low expectations. I felt like I knew from the previous years the course is pretty scorable, but I just feel like during practice rounds I didn't feel like there were that many birdie opportunities for me out there. Somehow I feel like that mentality helped me.

Q. How do you see today's round?

YU LIU: I'm very happy about my score. I felt like coming into today, like I've said, pretty low expectations because I felt like during practice I didn't feel like the course is very scorable for me.

But I feel like that mentality helped me, yeah.

Q. What is the best part of your round?

YU LIU: I would say probably putting because the last two weeks in Asia, couple weeks, I've been struggling with some reads and like just my stroke, so yesterday I spent some time on the practice green and I'm really glad that it played off.

Q. How do you rank Minori course?

YU LIU: I really like it. I played well today, so I'm very happy about my round.

Q. So many audience today. How do you like?

YU LIU: I always love playing in Japan. I feel like the spectators are always very kind and very professional. They know a lot about golf and I feel like Japan probably has the best fans, yes.
