Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, here with Jasmine Suwannapura after her second round in the Maybank Championship. Still in the lead two days later. How was it feeling for you today?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: Well, on 18 after I missed the birdie putt and I asked my caddie, like who is leading still? I didn't think I was still leading.

You know, it's been a good fighting back on back nine, so he said, you know, you made four, five birdies on the back nine, which I don't know.

Happy to be still on the leader.

Q. Can you tell us about that? You had two early bogeys. What did it take to turn the round around?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: I think I didn't really get stress about the two bogeys, and I feel like today especially pin position was not that easy at all. I feel like couple bogeys, it's makes sense.

So just trying my best and hopefully make some birdie coming in. At least make even par today. That's what I think.

Q. The course seemed to be playing a little bit harder today. Did you find it was harder today and what was different maybe from today and yesterday?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: Absolutely, because after the round we got pin position on LPGA posted on website. I was talking with my caddie and I said, they're probably mad at us yesterday, and all the pin position was pretty much in toughest on each hole. You know, all the corner, back left, back right. I'm like, yeah, today will be a tough one. So I don't want to be stressed about it. Just try my best today.

Q. So moving day is tomorrow. What do you think you have to put together tomorrow to stay at the top and make the most out of moving day?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: I would say just took some rest and -- had a lot of rest actually. Today was really hot, and I definitely felt that on the first three hole that I sweat everywhere literally.

So we have to take care of the body and make sure I'm ready for tomorrow and the last day.

Q. So you had a great game today. What are your thoughts on the round?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: I think I play smart today like knowing that the pin position was pretty much on the edge of the green on most of the hole.

I didn't really hit it close today, so it's all about putting today. Luckily was dropping three, four holes after that. So it's great.
