Quick Quotes

Q. I think I want to take a look at those last four holes that started with the eagle on No. 15. What was working well there, and just how did you finish this round the way that you did?

MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I mean, I bogeyed the par-3, the hole before the par-5, so I was like I really just want to make a birdie to get back.

So, I mean, I had a really good number in. I had 204 meters to the pin. So it was a really well-struck 5-wood, and I just pitched on the front and then rolled about -- probably about 27 -- like 9 meters, like 27 feet.

So, yeah, I had a pretty good -- I mean, I read it great, and it went in. So, yeah, it was nice to see it drop, yeah.

Q. And then three more birdies coming in there. What was it like to just see the putts drop in and all the work that you've been putting in to make that happen?

MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I mean, I hit some really solid shots coming in, and, you know, I -- I holed quite a few putts that were -- except for the last hole, which was quite close. The other ones were just like a good length. So it was nice to hole a few and get some under my belt to come in and finishing off the round.

Q. What was it like preparing for being back here in Korea?

MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I mean, I played last week, and I had two weeks off prior to that. So, you know, I always love coming to Korea. I have a lot of family here. And a lot of my heritage is here. So love the food and I think just good vibes when I come here. So, yeah, I love coming back.

Q. It's one of those gettable days, it's one of those scorable days. How important was it to capitalize on the way that the conditions were out there today?

MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I mean, didn't really expect the scores to be so low, but while we were playing the course, it was quite -- I mean, the weather was perfect. Like it ended up being an amazing day. And not a breath of wind.

So, I mean, a lot of the pins were quite like not generous but quite just in pretty normal spots. So it was -- you could play quite aggressive. And a lot of the par-5s, obviously, you can hit it quite close to the green and pitch it on.

So, yeah, I think there was just a lot of opportunities out there, and you just -- like on a day like this, you have to take advantage.

Q. And I know it's been a little bit, but your brother winning on the Asian Tour just a little bit ago, what was that like to see him claim another title?

MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I mean, 30-under, I think that's pretty crazy over four days. Hopefully he's taking a lot of confidence into this week where he's playing in Japan.

So, yeah, no, I'm always rooting for him wherever I am in the world. So it's always nice to see him do well.
