Q. All right Samantha, so bogey-free 7-under to start off your Stage II.

SAMANTHA VODRY: Yes.

Q. Walk us through your round today. You don't need to go shot by shot, but what was going right? Does the course fit your eye? What was a happening out there today?

SAMANTHA VODRY: I felt pretty comfortable. Played here last year so that was nice, to know the course well.

You know, I drove it well so didn't really ever get into any bad spots. And then my ball striking was just really good so I had a lot of opportunities for birdie and was able to roll those in.

Q. You mentioned you were here last year. How much does that help coming from already playing the courses, or is it just a familiarity with the whole process of qualifying school?

SAMANTHA VODRY: It definitely helps in both ways. I know where to miss it and not to miss it and just more comfortable around the course.

Q. Talk about the differences between a regular tournament compared to qualifying? Do you to keep it the same? Vary it? How does that work?

SAMANTHA VODRY: I'm trying to stay the same and focus on shot by shot. I know that's cliche but it works, so just going to keep doing it.

Q. What's maybe one thing out here you really think you need to focus on as far as your game to make sure you maintain a good score?

SAMANTHA VODRY: Just taking it hole by hole, because there are so many holes left to be played, so kind of got to stay in the moment, stay focused, take it shot by shot.
