EPSON TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

October 8, 2023

Becca Huffer

Daytona Beach, Florida, USA

LPGA International, Jones Course

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, here with Becca Huffer. Just heard from Jody Brothers that couple random scenarios, but right now locked in the top 10, pretty much in in the top 10. Just to hear that you're going back to the LPGA Tour next year, what does that mean for you?

BECCA HUFFER: It's awesome. I've had a really good year this year and it's awesome to see it pay off. Didn't get any wins out here but played really consistent and made some top finishes when it counted.

I'm just so excited to get back.

Q. You were out there in 2019 as a rookie. Been a hard couple years. You've been close, oscillating back and forth. To just finally come out here and play the golf you needed to play today, which is a 7-under 65, and get it done in the way you wanted to, what does that mean?

BECCA HUFFER: I knew coming into this week I would have to play well because it was so close. Coming into today -- I was probably more nervous the first two rounds because I knew I had to make the cut to give myself a chance.

Today I wanted to come out and make as many birdies as I can. Started off well and had it going. I don't know, I think it kind of hit me maybe last couple holes. I didn't finish great.

It was just a really solid round of golf and I can't be happier.

Q. I know you're by yourself out here this week. Who is the first person you'll call to tell you got your status back?

BECCA HUFFER: I got to call my mom. It's her birthday too, so be a happy birthday.

Q. To be able to accomplish a goal of being back out here, despite all you that faced -- and you had some injury, too.

BECCA HUFFER: My start of the professional I was hurt with my wrist, so I needed to -- it kind of delayed getting out here anyway.

Q. But to be able to play through that and some adversity of the last couple seasons, how gratifying is it to come out today and put a round on the board like that and get a card?

BECCA HUFFER: It's awesome because it's like I kind of figured out my game starting end of the last year, and to see myself put together golf I know I can play and work my way, just see it happen, was really great.

Q. How great has this Epson Tour experience been for you?

BECCA HUFFER: It's so great. There are so many good players out here. It's so competitive. It just keeps getting better and better. This year, especially with Epson as a sponsor, they've just been awesome. It's been a great experience. I've had a few years out here and I can say this is a great tour.

Q. What are you most looking forward to next season?

BECCA HUFFER: I'm just so excited to get to go play LPGA again and see how I do. I think I put too much pressure on myself my rookie year, and it just -- to have another shot at it, I'm excited.
