Q. Hard-fought battle. Give us your reflections?

JON RAHM: Yeah, not much to say. Played really good golf. Made two mistakes on 3 and 11. Besides that, I thought it was a really good round of golf.

It's just too bad the putts didn't drop. I made one on 1 but burned a lot of edges; a lot of putts that looked good but never went in. That's the equaliser. Scottie played pretty similar tee-to-green. He did miss a couple short ones, but made a couple long ones, too that were key. The one on 15 was a big win. A couple good up-and-downs. To be honest, I told Adam on 15, if we finish last four holes, two threes, two fours, has a good chance.

But we've had a couple of really good matches. He's a heck of a competitor. You know, my hat's off to him and I'm glad I could get a halve.

Q. How aware were you of the significance of that half-point?

JON RAHM: Extremely. Extremely. I told myself I wasn't going to look. It's hard not to see the scoreboards, right. I'm sitting looking at my putt and the scoreboards are right in my way. So it's hard not to catch yourself lingering.

But I think I did a really good job at the end. Seeing those scores, refocused at the task at hand. Played good at end. Too bad it wasn't good enough to win but I'll take a halve.
