PORTLAND CLASSIC

September 2, 2023

Atthaya Thitikul

Portland, Oregon, USA

Columbia Edgewater Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, here with Atthaya Thitikul after her third round at the Portland Classic. What has been different about each round of yours this week? What has changed maybe about the course or your game?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I don't think things change much. I mean, like I still do the same as first round and second round.

But first round just kind of a little bit frustrating with bunch of thing that's not making it in. But like yesterday had lot more confidence with the putter, and also with the approaching shot as well.

This type of course is the course that we -- all professional players go really low, which is you need to have a really good putter. You need to have a good approach shot.

Q. Do you like this course, that you're able to be more aggressive and make a lot of birdies?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I do. I do. And I think 90% of us do. Definitely. You know, like not that tough, reachable par-5, have like short approach shot.

Q. Being again in the chase tomorrow, not that many strokes back, are you going to be more aggressive? Is this a place where you can just be going right at the flags?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Yeah, I think this type of golf is yes. You know, it's not that tough condition-wise, so I think most of the players will go for the flag, especially tomorrow is Sunday.

But, you know, who knows. Everything going to happen. Because like I said, LPGA players, so many talented players out here. We go pretty low round every single round that we're here in three days.

So I think tomorrow if you're going to get it you have to go really low.

Q. Last question: Lots of birdies on the card. Any that stick out for you today as being really, really good birdies that you were happy to make?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Yes, I do. It's a lot of birdies out there, and also some frustrating with some shots that -- you know, it's just a little frustrating with some shot, that it's not that good enough.

But, oh, well, I'll take it, because it's still under par so I'll take it for this course.
