Q. Winning session for Great Britain and Ireland on this Saturday morning, Stuart. What are your takeaways from what your boys were able to do early and then hang on down the stretch?

STUART WILSON: Yeah, obviously early on, I think the Americans got off to a bit of a fast start because there was a lot of red on the board in the first two or three holes, but the guys were patient and held in there. To be fair, on any other day it could have quite easily gone the other way the last two matches. Just glad that the favour shone on us.

Q. How can you build momentum off of this morning into this afternoon in the singles?

STUART WILSON: Yeah, I think the guys will be absolutely buzzing with that result. Without a doubt they'll be looking forward to going out in the afternoon on a day like this around the Old Course. The crowds have been fantastic, as well. So I think it's safe to say even though there was a lot of tight matches and there must have been some nerves in there, they seem to have enjoyed it.
