Quick Quotes

Q. Congratulations. Another good round of golf out there. Minus 4. Your reflections on today.

HINAKO SHIBUNO: I'm very sad about the three-putt the first hole.

Q. But after that, no real problems. I mean, you hit plenty of greens. You made a lot of good putts out there. It's very hard to follow up a good round from the first day with the second day, but you managed to do that. So just tell me a little bit about your feelings of playing out there today.

HINAKO SHIBUNO: Well, I think I did very well, so I was not thinking anything about it.

Q. The good news about the day is as the day went on, the wind dropped more and more. It was a very good day to go and play golf, and you had to make the most of the conditions.

HINAKO SHIBUNO: That wind was, you know, getting weaker and weaker, but still there was some wind, and it was very difficult for me.

Q. I read that you want your nickname changed. I read in a local newspaper here that now you want to be known as the Assassin. Why do you want to be known as the Assassin from now on?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: I don't know why everybody calls me Assassin, but we can ask Lydia maybe.

Q. You played alongside Maja Stark today, who's a very promising young player. Tomorrow you will play alongside her as well. What are your thoughts about her game?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: I can't really speak English, so I don't speak to her very much during the round. But still good rhythm and she plays good. So it's the best player to play.

Q. It will be fun watching you both tomorrow. Well done.

HINAKO SHIBUNO: Thank you.

Q. When there is another person in your group also playing very well, does that help you, or are you locked into your own game?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: I think everybody is better than me, I honestly think, you know, on this Tour. So I don't think -- well, I can't think anything about it.

Q. Why do you think like that?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: High level, it's not my level out here.

Q. What is it -- what were some of the differing conditions from yesterday to today, and how do you think you were able to play through them?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: Well, I didn't really think anything about it. I was very calm and, yeah, that's it.

Q. And you said you didn't like the three-putt on your first hole. How did you reset after that, and how would you assess the other 17?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: Yeah, on the second hole I had a birdie, so that was all.

Q. Does European golf suit you better than golf in America, perhaps?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: Well, I don't know the difference between the U.S. and Europe, but the first time I won, it was British Open, still U.K. So, I don't know, maybe I feel better being here.
